Why Blame the Leader???

Well some of u might know and some of you dont tht i dont like politics and i dont to talk abt it either. But as most of us cuz of maybe sum anger blame the leader who controls or leads a country or company.I just thought of it today tht, evry one of us know tht nobody is perfect except All Mighty Allah. If they dont know they must be fools or gone insane.so wat im saying is the leaders are also humans like us and they are not Perfect. And they r trying to make the best decisions. But evry decision they make cannot be perfect. Why?cuz we are human beings. But some of us blame them for their decisions, but only thing we are doing is blaming there humanity. No one can say hes perfect or hes perfect for the job.But only Prophet Mohamed(Praise be Upon Him)was and is the only gr8 leader. No body can dis agree with tht.So all im saying is dont blame for the decisions a leader has made, cuz hes only Human like us.Chao!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa. That stance can be quite a dangerous stance to take. Such is easy to say when you aren't directly affected by the consequences of the bad decisions the leader takes. As per your view, even people like Hitler, Genghis Khan, Polpot, George Bush etc are never in err. and should be left to do as they please simply because they are human, not a muslim prophet and thus prone to err!

A leader, first and foremost, is charged with serving for the people. That is his/her mandate and it is his/her responsibility to make calculated decisions that not only benefit the most number of people but also make sure that not even a small number of people suffer. A leader cannot and should not be given free reign over the people who've elected him to lead the them.

With regard to Maldivian politics, I do agree with you that it is somewhat unreasonable to square the blame for everything on the one man - but that has happened because of the very tight grasp he's held on virtually everything...

Cheers :)

The leaders are making the decisions to enrich themselves at the expense of those whom they have sworn to serve. And you are saying they should not be held accountable.
In Islam, your perfect man has set out punishments for robbers and thieves. He did not let them go unpunished. So you are not following your own Perfect Man but making excuses for Golhaabo.
The statement that those who do not believe in Allah are fools or gone crazy is utter nonsense.

Well i wasnt reffering to those who take false advantages but to those who are misunderstood by most of us.Do you think Amin Mohamed made a bad decision by closing import of cigarettes!!!And it was for the good of the people but he was beaten up into rubble.
There maybe other reasons tht i dont know but if it isnt provable
wat wud "eves insaafeh nethey" and go after the person or government who did or didnt punish him.Later

Its true that all is not the responsibility of the leader, and so we cant blame everything on him. However, there are many many things that he has to be held accountable for. About Ameen banning cigarettes, (and also other harmful stuff being banned) ultimately its upto ther individual whether they want to smoke or to drink. The government cant prevent people from doing bad things. Also think about this: if someone is not drinking/smoking only because there is no way to drink/smoke (but he has all intentions and desires to do so and he craves them and dreams about them), is he considered a good muslim? OR is the good muslim the one who restrains himsself from those things inspite of the means being available?

I guess what im trying to say is individuals should have the freedom to choose what they want.

I agree!

and anyway who chose him as the leader? we choose him. now why are we complaining??

Every leader will use his power to do things for himself n his loved ones. I'm soo sure of it. whether its a office Boss, or owner of a shop or whatever.

gosh i hate politics. it does nothing but destroy

Politics: so dirty that no one dares to think about the actual society and its toll on the dirty games some people play.

Some very good perspectives have been provided here and I do not intend to pollute them. Yet many would probably agree that we as a country have evolved to what we are today, in a short period of time. Gaps are therefore inevitable and as we recognise gaps, we must put our best efforts in correcting them.
